Terms of use

Rules for using the Kedrel console.

Language

The French version of these terms is the reference if the two differ.

Purpose

Kedrel is an online console. It brings together the mail, calendar, contacts and files you choose to connect, and lets you decide which AIs may read them or act on them, and with what rights.

These terms cover opening an account and using the service. The subscription is described in the terms of sale.

Access

An account is created with a name, an email address and a password, or with Google. The address is confirmed by a code sent from [email protected].

The password, the session and the second factor are held by WorkOS. Kedrel does not store them.

You are responsible for keeping your access confidential and for the rights you give an AI.

Use

You use Kedrel for your own account. You do not try to enter another person’s space, or to bypass the security.

You do not store content you have no right to use. Mail, calendar, contacts and files read from Google remain those of your Google account. Kedrel shows them and, only when you ask, keeps a copy, as the privacy policy describes.

An AI receives only what you allowed. Kedrel does not control what the AI later does with it on the AI’s own side.

End of the account

You close the account in Settings, or by writing to [email protected]. Closing deletes the data Kedrel holds, as the privacy policy describes. A backup can keep a file for up to seven days.

Kedrel may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. The suspension is sent to the account address, with the reason, unless the law forbids it. The data then follows the same deletion rule.

Ownership

Kedrel keeps ownership of the service, the site text, the logos and the software. Opening an account does not assign that ownership to you.

You keep ownership of your content and of the data in the services you connect. You allow Kedrel to host it, to show it, and to send it to the AIs you have allowed, only in order to provide the service.

Liability

Kedrel provides the service with care. The server reads a file in order to show it to you, to extract its text, and to answer an AI you allowed. Kedrel is not end-to-end encrypted and not zero-knowledge. The privacy policy describes these limits.

Kedrel is not liable for what an AI later does, on the AI’s own side, with text it was allowed to read, nor for the operation of Google or of another service you connect.

No clause removes a liability the law forbids removing, including gross fault, fraud, or the legal guarantees owed to a consumer.

Availability

Kedrel does not promise an uptime figure. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, an incident, or an outside cause. An interruption does not create a right to compensation beyond what the law or the terms of sale provide.

Changes

Kedrel may change these terms. The change is sent to the account address at least fifteen days before it applies. You may close the account before that date. If the change concerns the paid subscription, the terms of sale apply.

Applicable law

French law applies. The French text prevails. A dispute goes first to [email protected], then, for a consumer, to the mediator named in the terms of sale.
